EXTRA POMEGRANATE JAM
Extra Pomegranate Jam is made with one of the most prized autumn fruits from our Sicily. The pomegranate, also known as “melagrana,” has a red or reddish rind that encloses the juicy red arils, the edible part surrounding the seeds. This fruit is considered one of the healthiest in the world, rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, with a characteristic coral-red color. To prepare our extra pomegranate jam, we process the fruits within a few hours of harvest, following a manual and artisanal process. The juice is extracted using a blender, to which sugar, a small amount of pectin, and fresh lemon juice from the Femminello Siracusano variety are added.
Excellent enjoyed on toasted bread or paired with a fine Sicilian wine.
